hey smash, dont know if you read these,

do you used fixed value area? if so, why? arent fixed value areas useless if the profile doesnt have a proper, even distribution? would it be a better approach to mark out extremes of balance?

Hey! I use fixed Value Areas on my daily profiles mainly to monitor how value develops relative to the prior session, rather than treating the exact VAH/VAL as significant levels. For identifying areas of balance across multiple sessions, I simply use the composite Volume Profile.

wow thank you for your insight!! I've been blindly marking out balance extremes on dailies and trying rotation plays, but that only works for me on specific market conditions.

i hope to one day develop a deeper understanding of amt like you
