Directional move to the upside after sellers inability to gain traction within the prior day's range. To maintain their directional conviction, buyers want to hold the afternoon pullback low, also a low volume node (LVN).
Hello smash, yesterdays gap down was around 21.50( close at 16.00) i had marked it on chart and was expecting a gap fill, however it reversed from 30( also in your twitter post) how it was considered as gap fill in your post? Please guide and correct my understanding. Thanks
Hey! I measure gaps from the previous day's high or low. I define a "true gap" as one where the current session's opening price is completely outside the range of the previous day, either opening above the previous day's high or below its low. In yesterday's session, the opening price was above the previous day's range (true gap up), resulting in the gap being filled at the previous day's high, which was at 4530.25. I specifically focus on "true gaps" rather than settlement gaps because true gaps signal that one side of the market has taken initiative, potentially indicating a shift in market dynamics.
Hi Smash, why you say we have unfinished business around highs considering we have a clean excess high? Also afternoon low is poor due the exactness with D period high.
Typically, the market tends to fill the area around the base of excess when there have been multiple periods with equal highs. The after-hours trading quickly returned for a retest. The excess was also not very clean in terms of order flow, with a lack of volume tapering. Yes, the weak afternoon pullback low implies that we are dealing with very weak sellers if they cannot breach it.
Strange, I don't encounter any issues when using my Android device. In fact, the image quality should be even better on Substack. Are you accessing it through the Substack app or just via email?
Thank you, buddy—another outstanding trading day.
When 13.4 is considered a STRONG VIX...!

Smash the screenshots you post on Substack are blurry and hard to read
All images are posted in their original quality. If you encounter any issues, please attempt to download the image. Are you on PC or Mobile?
I use iPhone. On Twitter the plan is easy to read simply because it isn’t blurry, but on Substack it is.
I wonder if it’s only myself
Perhaps. I don't experience any issues from my side.
